As I stitch on each flower, I think about all the beautiful flowers our Lord has given us, they show us His beauty.
The last few weeks have been spent on making this quilt for my grandson’s kindergarten teacher. During the school year I have been volunteering one morning a week in his class. I got permission to trace each of the students hands onto fabric. I then had the kids write their name on their traced hand print. The students and I had a lot of fun doing this project. We will be presenting it to their teacher tomorrow. It is always fun making memories and I am sure my grandson’s teacher will enjoy this lap quilt for years.
As this quilt will bring memories for the teacher, our Bible is what God has given us, to give us memories and pictures of the pass. Here God tells us of His great love for His people and is full of promises for us, promises of Blessings in the future, Romans 2:7.
Well no working on my LE this week, spent the week sewing badges on a dozen sashes. The GAs are Girls in Action, they study about missions at home and foreign missions. These girls are a lot of fun to work with and they have such giving hearts for The Lord. In two weeks they will be recognize in church for all their achievements.
Bias stems and circles done. I started physical therapy this morning in hopes I will be able to continue on with this amazing quilt. Not much else to say today, hope to have more next Wednesday. So may we all preserve onwards to the finish, one step at a time.
Finally after 2 months of no stitching due to tendinitis, I finally finished part 3. It is so good to be back stitching and creating a better sets of priorities. As I work on the beautiful quilt I think of new beginnings. This is a wedding coverlet, which means it was originally made for a new beginning. This past Sunday we also celebrated another new beginning with Resurrection Sunday. It started with Sunrise Service at 7am. As the sun came up and peeked through the clouds, we could see a beautiful dove and cardinal sitting on the wires above our Pastor’s head. What a beautiful sight The Lord provided for us. After the Sunrise Service, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with our Sunday School class, everyone brought something to share. Then after Sunday School we attended main service with lots of wonderful worship music and an amazing message from our Pastor. It was such a blessing to have been able to share the day with our church family.
Slow and Steady wins the race
